Obituary

Tanya Lee Lour, 69, of Cross Lanes, WV, formerly of Cherryville, KS, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, with loved ones by her side. Loved ones included her daughter, Whitney Gail Lour of Cross Lanes; Whitney’s dear friend; and their best friend, who traveled from Kansas to be with Tanya and Whitney.

Born in Independence, KS, to the late Alonzo and Fanny Chaffin, Tanya lived all but a few years in Kansas. First living in Neodesha, KS, before moving to Cherryville when the family home was flooded in 2007. A few years ago, she moved to West Virginia to be close to her only daughter, Whitney.

Tanya was employed with Prestige Cabinetry in Independence for 30+ years, working as their Computer Services Manager before her retirement. She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Per her wishes, she was cremated.
