Obituary
Theresa knapp keeney, 95, formerly of st. Albans and recently of edgewood summit, charleston, passed away on thursday, november 23, 2017 at the arthur b. Hodges center, charleston.
She was born on may 12, 1922 to the late lloyd and bessie knapp. Theresa married leroy malcolm keeney in 1942 and raised their family in st. Albans, where rev. Keeney was the minister at highlawn baptist church for 37 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2004 by her husband, rev. Leroy malcolm keeney.
She is survived by her daughter, rebecca and son-in-law, john c. Palmer iv of charleston; son, stanley davis keeney of chagrin falls, oh; grandchildren, morgan griffith and her husband, dave of charleston, campbell palmer and his wife, emma of falls church, va, mary beth gunerra and her husband, chad and brian keeney and his wife, megan all of chagrin falls, oh; 10 great-grandchildren, amanda jane, michael, patrick, evan, jack, thomas, eloise, c.J., mila and jr; and her “special girls”, mary lynn brown, jeanie crow and margaret sine.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at arthur b. Hodges center, charleston and the employees of kanawha hospice care for the compassionate care given to theresa.
Funeral service will be 11a.M. Monday, november 27, 2017 at barlow bonsall funeral home, charleston. Burial will follow at sunset memorial park, south charleston. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers “ the family suggests donations may be made in memory of theresa to: highlawn baptist church, 2304 jefferson ave, st albans, wv 25177 and/or kanawha hospice care, 1606 kanawha blvd w, charleston, wv 25387.

I Loved Theresa! I Have Never Not Known Her. She Was A Gentle Lady And Exuded Her Love And Sweetness With Everyone She Encountered. She And Rev Keeney Were Also Close Friends For Many Years.
