Obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Tianna Jomae Pauley, 37, of Poca, WV. Tianna passed away on July 24, 2025, at CAMC – General Division, surrounded by family and friends.

Tianna was born on May 13, 1988, in South Charleston, WV, the daughter of William Pauley and the late Debrah (Bennett) Pauley.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert Jackson and Joanne (Chapman) Bennett; paternal grandfather, Howard D. Pauley, and step-mother, Charlotte Jones.

Tianna is survived by Grandmother, Lyda Pauley of St Albans; step-sister, Tracey and her husband Tim Handley, of Culloden; her aunt, Jacqueline and uncle Delbert (Dee) Flowers of Charleston; her cousin, Jonathan Flowers and Leslie Andrews of Charleston, along with a host of other family and friends.

She was a loving and caring daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin and friend. She loved the outdoors and animals, taking in all strays. She loved her friends. She had her own landscaping service, which she took great pride in. Tianna was a hard laborer and dedicated to her craft.

Tianna continued to give following her death by donating to the Center for Organ Recovery. We honor Tianna, as a Hero, who has given the most precious gift …The Gift of Life.

She will be laid to rest, beside her mother, at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Teays Valley.

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free,
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard His call,
I turned my back and left it all.
