Mr Asseff was the reason I became a teacher. I had one of his history classes in 7th grade and I was hooked. He made me love history. I took every class he taught for the next 5 years.
I was a scared 7th grader who stutter and could barely put two sentences together. He “insisted” in his quiet way, I join the drama club to help my stuttering. I’m so sorry I never told him how much I enjoyed his classes, or how much he influenced my life. He is my favorite And most influential person from 7th grade through college and even into grad school. Education lost an awesome, caring, teacher/person when he died.
