Obituary

Virginia irene harrah wiseman, 94 of charleston, wv passed away peacefully on wednesday, june 22 at camc general hospital.
She was born on may 28, 1922 to the late robert and essie harrah and was one of nine children. Virginia was a lifelong resident of charleston and a longtime member of the bible center church. A graduate of charleston high school, she also attended charleston business college and was an employee of the former cox’s department store.
The greatest part of her life was spent being a loving mother and homemaker. She especially enjoyed time with family. Doting on her grandchildren brought her great joy. Gardening was one of virginia’s passions and she loved planting flowers and watching them grow and bloom.
She will especially be missed for her contagious laughter, her love and caring, and her quiet wisdom.
The family would like to thank the staff of arthur b. Hodges center for providing such a wonderful quality of life for virginia. We also thank those at camc general – 4th floor south for their loving and compassionate care.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, clyde wiseman and a grandson, randy moore.
She is survived by five children: carolyn (willis) moore of charleston, jeanie (larry) evans of montana, martha (dave) wilson of new jersey, harold (lou) wiseman of roanoke, va and gary (mary) wiseman of elkview, wv and grandchildren: richard moore, john moore, jennifer orvin, lori priebe, kim spence, kristy griffin, lindsey plower, lacey wiseman, mccall wiseman and 16 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.M. Saturday, july 9, 2016 at barlow bonsall funeral home with pastor chad cowan officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in tyler mt. Memory gardens, cross lanes, wv.
