Obituary

Wandalene Riffle, age 73, passed away of natural causes on October 24th, 2023, at her son’s home Jerry Lee Riffle in Hurricane, WV.

Wandalene is survived by her husband Teddy Lee Riffle of Danville, WV- Sons, Kevin Lee Riffle of Madison, WV and Jerry Lee Riffle of Hurricane, WV, daughter-in-law Talicia Riffle Hurricane, WV- Grandchildren Vanessa Leanna Riffle of Madison, WV, Jessica Marie Riffle of Scott Depot, WV, Jennifer Lea Riffle of Danville, WV, Nitalia Alizabeth Harris of Hurricane, WV, Destiney Dawn Riffle of Madison, WV, Jeremiah Samuel-Lee Riffle of Hurricane, WV- Great grandchildren- Matthew Paul Maynard, Adelynn Brooke Sanders, Ezekiel Lee Sanders, Arizona Paige Laws, Kenzie Mae Laws and Bryson Michael Santonia. Sister- Nancy Bradbury of Madison WV, Brother- Danny Stone of Madison, WV.

Wandalene was preceded in death by her parents John Rexford Stone and Alice Ballard, sister Shirley Stone of South Charleston, WV, brother Rex Stone of Hodgesville, WV, brother Larry John Stone of Madison, WV, brother David Stone of Griffithsville, WV.

Wandalene was born on April 30th, 1950, in Jeffrey, WV to parents John Rexford Stone and Alice Ballard. She attended Southern West Virginia Community College and received her Associates degree. Wandalene was a very loving and hardworking wife and mother, but her passion was singing for the Lord. She was a member of the Powell Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Danville, WV and she served as a Singing Evangelist spreading God’s Word through song. Wandalene was singing to the Lord even unto her last breath. Wandalene’s family and friends will always remember her as a strong, loving, caring, beautiful individual that loved Jesus more than life!

A celebration of life is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4th, 2023, at Powell Creek Freewill Baptist Church, 9647 Spruce River Road, Danville, WV 25053. The service will be officiated by Pastor Donald Kerns. A reception will immediately follow.
