Obituary
Waneeta marie parker sears, 78 of charleston, wv passed away sunday, june 21, 2015 at camc memorial hospital, charleston, wv.
She was born january 12, 1937 in northampton, massachusetts, raised in cummington, mass and graduated from pittsfield high school, pittsfield, mass in 1955.
A resident of the charleston, wv area for over 50 years, she retired from the west virginia supreme court of appeals administrative office.
Waneeta was a singer, musician and an artisan. besides a love of reading, gardening, nature and animals, she was a fan of the boston red sox, ny yankees and nascar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, leston and beulah griffin parker; husband, franklin sears; son, dennis sears; granddaughters, tisa and camille sears; sisters, virginia dickmeyer and ruth sears; feline companion for 20 years, sarah.
She is survived by her daughters, kathleen espelage of eatonton, ga and carrie sears of charleston, wv; sons, lonnie sears of charleston, wv, lindon sears of duluth, ga and benjamin sears of charleston, wv; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and her special feline, lightning.
