Obituary

William joseph “joey” ansel 58, of kanawha city passed away tuesday, june 12, 2018 at camc memorial hospital, charleston, wv.

He was a lifelong resident of kanawha city. Joey was a graduate of charleston catholic high school, charleston, wv and west virginia university. He was a member of the beta theta pi fraternity and i.A.T.S.E. Local # 271 theatrical union. he loved fishing, music, cigars, and especially his family and friends.

Joey was a stagehand for mountain stage with larry groce.

Joey had a passion for life and was especially blessed with many friends whom he loved.

He was preceded in death by his father, willard ansel..

He is survived by his wife, angie of kanawha city, wv; mother, martie ansel; children, bethany ansel of kanawha city; nephews, austin miller and elisha jarrell; sisters, anna yeager of kanawha city, lisa lynch of mooresville, nc and amy ansel of kanawha city; brother, david ansell of hurricane, wv.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.M., saturday, june 16, 2018 at barlow bonsall funeral home with rev. Frank thomas officiating. burial will follow in montgomery memorial park, london, wv.

Friends and family may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

When I Was With Amy And Lisa He Treated Me Just Like A Sister, Which Meant He Would Protect You From Anything. He Was Larger Than Life And Everyone Loved Him. Hard Not To.
