Obituary
Yvonne Marsha Grams, 64, of Charleston, WV, passed away on July 10, 2026, at CAMC Memorial after a long illness. Her loving husband was by her side.
She was born December 29, 1961, in Bloomingrose, WV, to William and Mozzel (Johnson) Chapman. Yvonne worked several different jobs throughout her lifetime. However, her most recent job was possibly her favorite. Working at Quaker Steak & Lube brought her great joy. She took pride in decorating the restaurant for holidays and special occasions and she found genuine happiness in meeting hew people and building friendships with customers and co-workers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers and sister, David Chapman, Charles Chapman, and Loretta Bassham, and her brother-in-law, Archie Bassham.
Yvonne is survived by her husband of 37 years, John Grams; sister and brothers, Brenda McCray (Don) of Comfort, WV, John Chapman (Peggy) of Virginia, Clinton Chapman (Jerry Lynn) of Virginia, and Calvin Chapman (Becky), also of Virginia; daughter, Katelyn Mozzel Mullaney of Maryland; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Chapman and Frances Chapman, along with many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her cherished son by love, Shyteik Stroud of Charleston, and his daughter, her beloved grandchild by love, Ka’Niya Stroud at home and Ka’Niya’s birth mother, Emily Erwin.
In the recent years, Yvonne’s greatest happiness came from being with her beloved granddaughter, whom she cherished and delighter in spoiling.
Yvonne was a Christian by faith.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, 1118 Virginia Street East, Charleston, with Father Clayton Harrington officiating.
Visitation will begin one hour prior at the funeral home.
