Obituary
Faith woods, 80, of charleston, passed away on february 11, 2019, surrounded by her family.
Faith was born december 16, 1938, in indore, clay county, w.Va., and was the last surviving child of the late lee o. Woods and mabel reedy woods.
After graduating from clay county high school in 1957, she worked for the heck’s department store chain from 1960 until 1982. Never one to stand idle, faith became an entrepreneur in the late 1980s, when she opened the first of three faith’s hallmark shops.
Faith is survived by her husband of 40 years, douglas cook, and by her daughter, dr. Bridget stevens; son, victor (tara) woods; beloved grandchildren, jeffrey tobias “toby” stevens, zachary stevens, faith mackenzie stevens, ian woods, and benjamin woods; and stepson, richard (jeanne) cook.
In addition to her parents, faith was preceded by her sisters, garnet woods, madeline (robert) sizemore, ruby (wilbur) johnson, norma salinsky, lenna (loudell) butcher, and connie (james) gray; brothers, nute (joann) woods and jolly woods; foster brother, edward johnson; and stepdaughter, teresa cook.
Faith’s family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the staff of the arthur b. Hodges center at edgewood summit for the kindness they showed faith this past year.
The family plans to hold a celebration of faith’s life at a later date.

So Very Sorry About Faith’S Passing. My First Job 1972 Was With Her At Heck’S, And Then Frequently Saw Her At Her Hallmark Stores. Prayers To You, Bridget And Victor And Family For Peace And Comfort.
