Obituary

Lorrie Ann (Meadows) Queen, 59, of Chelyan, WV, went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2023.

Lorrie loved all things unique; she saw beauty in everything. She was known for her sweet and sassy demeanor, and the fact that she never met a stranger. She had friends all over the world. Nothing made Lorrie happier than spending time with others. She always went out of her way to make sure those around her felt valued and cherished. Lorrie was loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Withrow; mother, Alpha Vance Meadows; and brother, Gary Meadows.

Lorrie is survived by her brothers and sisters, John Meadows, Jr. and wife Betty of Looneyville, WV; Okey Meadows and wife Ranae of Hurricane, WV; Jeffery Meadows of Charleston, WV; Joyce Javins and husband David of Charleston; Sandra Prescott and husband Greg of Smithfield, VA; and Cynthia Meadows of Charleston; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home, 1118 Virginia Street East, Charleston, with Pastor Dennis Vance officiating. Interment will follow at Hanson Cemetery, Charleston.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
