Obituary

Lonnie Wilson Fink, 52, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 16, 2021, in Charleston, WV.
Born in Beckley, WV, on October 27, 1968, he was a 1986 honors graduate of Shady Spring High School.
He never met a stranger in all his years on this earth. If you had two ears, guaranteed he would talk one of them off, and if he really liked you, you were going home earless. He loved helping everyone he met.
Lonnie is survived by his loving mother, Mary Fink Butterworth, and stepfather, Roger Butterworth of Beckley; his father, Robert “Bobby” Fink of Sophia, WV; a sister and brother-in-law, Karen Fink Fair and Doug Fair of Marietta, GA; a special aunt, Linda McGraw of Crab Orchard, WV; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Jessica Fink of Lexington, KY.
Lonnie was baptized when he was 13 years old, but later in life, in 2017, when he was 48, he was baptized again in Lake Stephens, Raleigh County, WV.
No services are planned.
“Don’t cry for me, I will be OK. Heaven is my home now and this is where I’ll stay. Don’t cry for me, I’m where I belong, I want you to be happy and try to be strong. Don’t cry for me, it was just my time, but I will see you someday soon on the other side.” Irish Proverb
