Obituary

Arnold russell “jack” hall departed from this life to be with his lord on march 8, 2019, after a long illness, at st. Francis select hospital. He was 78. He was born june 13, 1940.

He was preceded in death by his father, virgil hall; mother, clara hunt; and his beloved nephew and friend, timothy summers. He fought a good fight and our loss is heaven’s gain.

Brother jack was raised in clay county. He was a worker in the timber and logging industry until he was disabled by a logging accident. He met the “love of his life,” janet, in 1990 and they were married in february 12, 1991. He was baptized in the name of jesus christ by the late reverend jack long in 1990 and received the holy ghost in april 1991. Brother and sister hall were together for 28 years until he departed. In those 28 years, they tried together to bring souls to the lord. He attended christ temple church, the praise and prayer church, and at times keystone apostolic church and north charleston apostolic church. He enjoyed riding his three-wheeler bicycle with a jesus license plate on it on the east end for years. He loved trying to find bargains here and there.

Brother hall is survived by his loving wife, janet m. Hall; stepsons, charles “eddie” anderson and richard (donna) anderson; grandson, richard “rich” (olivia) anderson; great – grandchildren, elijah, neveah, kadence; granddaughter, bethany anderson (jeremy gibson); stepson, danny (becky) anderson; granddaughter, crystal l. Bush; grandson, benjamin (amanda) bush;  great – grandchildren, brendan bush, samuel bush, isaiah haikal , ian lanham; nephews, jeff summers, richard greiner iii, departed eric greiner; nieces, lisa gullett, diane thomas, leslie “susie” reynolds, janet craigo and husband of florida; many great nephews and nieces; and a host of friends.

A celebration of life will take place 6 p.M. Thursday,  march 14. Family and friends may visit from 4 to 6 p.M., prior to the service, at barlow bonsall funeral home, 1118 virginia street east, charleston, w.Va., with reverend anthony moss officiating.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to those who have supported them through prayer and encouragement. Thank you so much to the staff at st. Francis select in the last hours of his life for supporting our family with refreshments, and to the pastor and wonderful brothers and sisters at north charleston apostolic for all of their support.

    Many Memories Of My Uncle Jack , He Always Called Me His Movie Star When I Was A Young Girl, He Lived With Us For Years.Much Love To Janet I Only Meet Her A Few Times But So Thankful That She Loved My Uncle Jack All Those Years
