Obituary

Jean ann deraimo jones, 66, of south charleston passed away on october 6, 2018, at her home surrounded by family. She was born october 5, 1952 in cabin creek and was the daughter of angelo and the late martha deraimo.

Jean was a 1970 graduate of east bank high school and was happily retired after 37 years of service with wv dhhr.

Jean is survived by her daughter, carrie jones; sisters, mary bruce (jimmy) and julie barker (eddie pannell); brothers, william deraimo (lynn) and sam deraimo (maria); nephew, michael bruce (kelly); nieces, katie barker and patti hagerman (robert); and great nephews, adam and tristan hagerman.

The family would like to thank dr. Moussa sissoko, camc cancer center and hospice care for their care of jean during her illness.

A memorial service will be held on wednesday, october 10 at 7:00 p.M. At barlow bonsall funeral home at 1118 virginia street, east, charleston. Gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 p.M. Until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to hospicecare or your charity of choice in jean’s memory.

    Thank You Carrie For Being There With Jean And For Caring For Her And Keeping Us All Informed. She Was A Dear Friend For Years (Cultural Center Volunteers, Clay Center Dinners And Shows, Etc.)So Sorry I Can’T Get Back Home But Jean And Family Are In My Prayers.
