Obituary

Patty A. Hastings, 66, of Charleston, quietly went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, after a short illness.

She has gone to be with her husband, Philip A. Hastings, who preceded her in death on May 26, 2004.

Patty leaves behind her two sons, Nathaniel Steven Hastings and Brandon Morgan Hastings, and a sister, Tressie Harper. The boys were the light of her life.

She went back to school and graduated with Honors from West Virginia State University with a bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology.

Patty will be greatly missed by “an army of love” from all the people she looked on as family. She found family in everyone she knew, including people she worked with at the Diamond Building, Fresenius, and in the neighborhood. Anyone in need would be given her time, energy and support.

Patty was a ray of sunshine in this world, and that shine will be missed. When the rain recedes and the sun is shining again, look for the rainbow and see Patty.

Our Dearest Patty, we love you to the moon and back, and all the stars in the sky. Amen.

She will be missed forever.
