Obituary

Robert (bobby) shane mooney of charleston, wv, passed away november 8^th, 2018 at the young age of 53, after battling a long illness.

Bobby was the 4^th child born to robert edward mooney and mary ann mooney (mclaughlin) on september 10, 1965. Bobby graduated from stonewall jackson high school in charleston. After graduation, he entered the air force for a short time and returned to charleston. His greatest passion was playing baseball in his younger years and spent many hours throughout the years coaching at midwestern and training his nieces and nephews who were also interested in playing the sport. He also loved to play golf, horse shoes and was a great pool player for the tennessee tavern. He later discovered life by the ocean which he often expressed as the place he belonged.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father robert mooney, mother maryann mooney, brother kevin edward mooney and sister robin colleen elswick (mooney). He is survived by two sisters, mary anna katherine (kathi) barrington (mooney) of charleston, wv and gladys sherry blackshire (mooney) of cincinnati, ohio, daughter kelli jo wray, grandson kevin mac barefoot iii of north carolina, and many loving nephews and nieces.

Services will be held on 6:30 p.M. Thursday, november 15^th, 2018 at barlow and bonsall, 1118 virginia st. East, charleston, wv 25301

visitation will begin at 6:00 p.M. Until time of the service at the funeral home.
